Some cards I CASED

Hiya Bloggers :)
There's quite a few designs I love that were found on Pinterest and here I've had a go at casing some of them...

Here's a beauty from Vicki Dutcher made by using a dabbed background.
And also a beauty from Jen and hers is using more splats.
I've used ink splats for mine and is quite random.
The stamped flower is from Magenta and those beautiful words is a stamp from Clarity Stamps.
The card stock is die-cut using Spellbinders (Card Creator, Fanciful Lattice)
This second card is made casing this fab card made by Becca
Using a die from Tonic to make a paper bow
And I squashed bead end caps so as to place underneath the gems to make 'em pop more

And finally Dina Kowal from .iostamps made this beauty using IO Stamps- snowflake dies.
I don't have these dies so I used a rather lovely set from Spellbinders (Shapeabilities-2013 Snowflake Pendant)
The paper bow is from a brilliant die set made by (Tonic)
Well, I do hope you like them :)
And a huge thank you goes to all the clever crafters out there for all the brilliant inspiration (clapping) ;)

A demo from Pauline

Hiya Bloggers :)
A few weeks ago we had a crafty get together with some of our lovely crafting friends.
Pauline gave us a fab demo of this unusual dimensional card and it's pretty clever the way it's constructed as it will fold flat for posting.
Many thanks Pauline xxx

Thank you so much for visiting xxx

The Grandchildren have been using my cutting dies

Hi Bloggers :D
Two of my grandchildren had fun playing in my craftroom yesterday.

6year old Avah loves my Marianne Ballerina die and wanted to use it to make a card.
I'd been trying out my new Die'sire (Aurora) die,and she'd  spotted the cut I'd made with plain white cardstock, so that was on the menu :)
So together we came up with this card, finished off with a bow from my new Tonic 3d bow set  CED1405 (set of 2)
Avah did most of the construction, admittedly with lots of help from me along with her input.

Her big sister Niamh (10 years old at end of Sept) watched us using the Big Shot as we cut and embossed the dies and wanted to do hers by herself.
The Tonic 3d bow I had already made and the swirls she pinched from my stash.
She cut, embossed and assembled everything else herself, she made up the flower with no input from me but I had to trim the pink cardstock for her with the guillotine for safety sake.
Wouldn't let me near her during assembly - not bad hey?

This is one Niamh made last year from die-cuts I had made...
10 year old Grace made this card in May this year...
I'd been showing her how to use the brayer to colour plain white card stock and this is the card she came up with herself.
The girls would love a big clap from you as they're very proud of their masterpieces :)

More from 2012

Morning Bloggers :)
Well, I don't believe it! I've found another folder from 2012 in the depths of my files!
This is embarrassing - oops.
It's a bit of a mix bag...

This one made from kraft card I'm not too sure about.
There are times I feel it's okay and then looks again and think "What on Earth was in my head here"

Inspired by such talent

There's so much talent out there in craft land and it's often difficult not to plagerise.
That said, when you come across such talent Birgit from http://bigganed.blogspot.co.uk/  it is a temptation.
Here are some of my samples "inspired" by Birgit but in no way can I manage to match her superb talent ...

More stuff unblogged!

It's hard to take in that I've neglected my blog for so long! So in finding yet another file of makes from way back, methinks a little more catch-up is needed.

Dear me! this is one is from 2012!!! It's a box card as you can see and much of it features the lovely Marianne Creatable die LR0202 which also features on the insert...

And a few 2013 family celebration cards

                                                         (using Pink Petticoat digi stamp)...
(using a digi stamp from Lavinia)...

This effort is the result of playing with a Martha Stewart 'Punch Around the Page' set...
I'll get back with more very soon.

8" x 8" Wedding Card

Hi Bloggers :D I really am trying to keep on top of  blogging but not doing too good - sorry
So here's more of what I've been doing...This card is worked with a number of dies on plain white smooth 300gm cardstock.

Background made using an  Embossalicious folder

The corner dies are from Marianne Design  LR1043 These have also bee used to create the inner border around the message.

This border layer is then backed by a larger layer using Tonic Verso Decorative Wreath Rings

Bottom of the card base is made using Nelli's Multi Frames MFD023 to create the lace effect

And finally, I used some old Sizzix Sizlet dies for the 'Bride and Groom' and also the dove.
