MEET MY NEW FRIEND, SHADOW

Isn't he a darling?
His name is SHADOW
I've been walking him for .Freshfields Animal Rescue. since July and he's so special.

Here we are on the beach at Formby Point, Merseyside on one of our lovely walks.

The start of our walk on the Squirrel Trail behind St Lukes Church Road, Formby

The trail leads onto the nature reserve where we tend to meet lots of other dog walking friends out and about

Just itching to run and play!!!

Back through the trail after a long walk...

Back at the kennels - Shadow is very good in the car, he just loves his  journeys out.

This is another day out when we met up with the lovely dog walkers at Maghull Football Club
Shadow is very sociable with other dogs - a joy to be with who will make someone a loving friend.

Nellie's Multi Frames and Pinflair Easel

I'm so sorry for going missing again but I just haven't been up to it.
Although a few cards have been attempted, I do need to get myself into the swing of things very soon (Christmas is looming)!

I made this card for my 2nd daughter's 40th birthday.
Using Nellie's Multi Frame MFD 006 (square) I cut an aperture from an A6 piece of card...this is raised up with foam pads onto an A6 card blank (tent fold)...The remaining die-cut is decorated before gluing flat into the square aperture.
The diamond shaped frame is created using Nellie's Multi Frame MFD 021
Mounted onto a large Pinflair Easel

GOING O.T.T. WITH MARIANNE CREATABLES

It's a beautiful Saturday here with the sun playing out with gusto!
I do hope the sun is shining for you all ;o)
Later this afternoon it's my granddaughter Avah's 4th birthday party and here's the card I made for her.

It's a bit O.T.T. for me, but little girls do like frills n things

The base card is just a folded circle cut with the magnetic circle cutter from WRMK...
The card stock crease cracked a bit when folded, so that mistake is covered with another strip cut with MS border punch and finished with a ribbon and bow.

The topper starts with a good sized (135mm diameter) Marianne Creatable LR0112. This die set comes with the 2 flourishes that I weaved into the finished card. It also comes with a rather nice flower and snowflake die, so quite alot there for your money ;o)

The smaller die cut frame is a Nellie's Multi Frame MFD005
Decoupage is Morehead
The lace flower I made out of bright white lace dipped into strong coffee, squeezed out in a tea towel to remove most of the strong colour before airdrying.
Avah's name is die cut from a set by Sizzix (Cattycorner)

This started out as a rocker card but, when I attached the lace flower embelli, it kept leaning to the left and looked odd. So a small amount of card is trimmed from the bottom to allow it to sit straight.

Marianne Design Creatables Die - Classic Boats LR0199

Good morning fellow bloggers :D
I'm trying to get my time back in order following a period of chaos!
Hubby had his operation last week but I rained on his parade by being admitted on the evening before his 'op and they kept me in for 2 nights!

But, hubby has recovered well (never felt better in a long time) and thankfully, my scare turned out to be negative - pheeeeew :D

It was his 75th birthday on the 8th and here is the card I made for him...

Using one of my favorite dies to cut the Yacht - Marianne Design Creatables Die - Classic Boats LR0199
I must credit  Glynis from http://www.cjcardcraft.com/  (where I bought the die) for the inspiration. If you're ever in the Stockport area, her shop is well worth a visit ;o)
The Banner is SPELLBINDERS-S4-324)
DS used is from a K&Company stack and my bunting is hand cut

Before I go, I've just read this post from Lesleys Blog over at  FRESHFIELDS Animal Rescue Centre and wanted to pass it on.....
Ain't he adorable?

Mr Big Ears.
no I am not referring to the lovely Martin Clunes who is a great dog lover -  in case some off you were unaware of this, he is very active with a dog rescue in the South of England so he can't do much wrong in my eyes. No I am actually referring to   our adorable Kai who has been in kennels far too long now.He is a cross staffordshire bull terrier / german shepherd. It is an unusual mix and has resulted in a medium size dog with enormous ears and a very loveable personality. Not one person has enquired for him and we need a home soon or he will start to go kennel crazy and that would be a great shame and so unfair on this lovely dog. He likes to play with the kennel owners dogs(all females) And would make a great friend for another dog, maybe a labrador or lively collie  type.

Free Image of a Bare Tree

Using Inkscape, I traced this tree from a photograph that I had taken.
I use it in CrftArtist Professional as a stencil (among other things),
It's a PNG image so is useful to layer etc.

Thanks for the visit ;o)

The corner pieces are from an MS corner punch that has been trimmed
And the grass is punched from an MS border punch.

MAKING BACKGROUND STENCILS in CAP

Hi bloggers :D
I've just come home from Liverpool having been to see the Sea Odyssey and can I say, it was fantastic!!!
If you've not been yet, then you need get down there tomorrow!
The mood all around was so warm and friendly even in the spots that were very busy ;o)

Now down to what I've been up to.....
Wanting to make my own grunge overlays in CAP (CraftArtist Professional), I came up with a repeat pattern of circles and diamonds...put them in my stencils and brushed through with a grunge brush (Dried Lake)...If anybody would like to use them, I've put the patterns on page 2 (just stick 'em in your stencils)...I'm probs trying to teach grandma to suck eggs  but I was delighted to have worked it out! :D...I'm afraid I can't list the kits used as they're too numerous but they're all DaisyTrail/Serif...And I'm sorry I can't save as a digi kit for you as that is something I've not yet mastered (as I've done something seriously wrong with the settings) :o( ...Thanks for looking ;o)
